Lemon Water Infused Recipes

Drinking a glass of water mixed with freshly squeezed lemon juice provides a number of benefits for the body as well as the mind.

 

When preparing your lemon water, avoid store bough lemon juice/concentrate as it has no nutritional value or health benefits and most contain harmful preservatives and chemicals.

 

You can also try some of our variations of lemon water,  by adding other ingredients to keep your taste buds excited.

 

Lemon Water Recipes

 

There are many ways to prepare lemon infused water.The most popular and simplest way is to just add the juice of half a lemon to one cup of water.

  • 1 glass of warm filtered water

  • ½ of a freshly squeezed lemon

Instructions: Fill your glass with warm filtered water, squeeze in your fresh lemon juice, stir and drink.

 

But when you’re looking for more interesting flavours, here are some suggestions of variations you can try.

Cucumber Lemon Water

 

The taste of cucumbers and lemon are perfect together, and the health benefits are outstanding with the addition of the cucumbers. Cucumber is packed with potassium, making it a natural way  lower blood pressure. It helps reduce bloat and puffiness, paired with the skin firming, metabolism boosting lemon water, this zero-calorie drink will make you feel and look great in no time. Cucumber is a low-calorie food. is loaded with dietary fibre and keeps the body alkaline. It also acts as a diuretic, thus flushing out more toxins and promoting digestion.

Warm Lemon Water with Honey for Colds and Flu

 

This recipe is a fantastic flu and cold treatment.Make sure the water is still hot enough to melt the lemon honey, but under 60C so it doesn’t alter the chemical structure and nutrient density of the honey.

Lemon Water with Mint for Digestion

 

Vitamin C, found in lemon speeds up the metabolic process, while mint in known for its digestive properties. The flavour of the mint activates the salivary glands, which results in the production of more digestive enzymes, facilitating digestion. Good digestion, in turn, controls weight gain . Just like the warm lemon water, this soothing hot lemon water with mint recipe is the perfect drink when you’re feeling under the weather.

Just like the cucumber, mint naturally helps reduce bloat and puffiness. They both also help to naturally cool you down.
